BJP to hold ‘Rally for Devp’ today

SHILLONG, Dec 16: The Bharatiya Janata Party will organise ‘Rally for Development’ on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Meghalaya.
According to a statement, the rally, which is being organised by the BJP’s Shillong unit, will be flagged off at 9 am on Saturday by state party president Ernest Mawrie in the presence of party MLAs and senior functionaries.
“The rally will start from the Brigade Iewrynghep Ground and culminate at the State Party Office at Bivar road after traversing the city,” the statement said.
According to the BJP, the rally is being organised with an objective to disseminate awareness on the development works in Meghalaya with the help of the schemes initiated by Narendra Modi-led central government.
