Pig multiplier farm comes up in EWKH village

NONGSTOIN, Dec 21: In a bid to uplift the socio-economic condition of people in rural areas engaged in piggery farming and allied activities, Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh on Wednesday inaugurated the Pig Multiplier Farm at Mawsawa village, Eastern West Khasi Hills.
Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh also spoke about the Vocational Training Centre at Mawnai, which, he said, has proved to be immensely beneficial to the citizens.
During the programme, piglets and poultry under the Rural Backyard Piggery & Poultry Scheme were also distributed among beneficiaries by Lyngdoh, who was the chief guest of the occasion.
Others who spoke include Syiem of Hima Nongkhlaw, Pa’iem PM Syiemlieh, Deputy Commissioner W Nongsiej, Director, Animal Husbandry &Veterinary, Dr A Laloo and others.
