BSF M’laya gets new IG

SHILLONG, Dec 24: Pradip Kumar has succeeded Inderjit Singh Rana as the new Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier.
According to a statement, Kumar took over the charge as the Inspector General on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Rana, who commanded the BSF Meghalaya Frontier for a year and half, has now been posted to BSF training centre Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.
Kumar, a 2003-batch IPS from Tamil Nadu cadre, has remained as DIG Confidential/Vigilance at Force Headquarters, New Delhi, before taking over the charge of BSF Frontier Meghalaya. Meanwhile, after taking over the charge of BSF Meghalaya Frontier, Kumar has emphasised on cooperation and coordination among all the stakeholders for effective management of the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Development and upliftment of the border population would remain our prime concern, the IG said.
