Tura, Jan 10: The A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) from Adokgre in North Garo Hills has urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to look into the proper functioning of the A’dokgre C&RD Block.

In a memorandum addressed to Conrad on Tuesday, the movement said that A’dokgre, which consists of more than 43 villages has a population out of which 99% of the people belong to the BPL category. The movement added that the people face various problems including with regard to travel as they currently have to depend on the Kharkutta C&RD Block, which is about 25 kilometres away.

Pointing out that the full-fledged functioning of the block would greatly ease the problems of the people, the movement urged the chief minister to look into the matter at the earliest.
