Fourth teachers yet to receive salaries of Dec 2022

Tura, Jan 13: The All Meghalaya Fourth Teachers’ Association, Garo Hills Unit (AMFTA-GHU) has urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to look into the release of their pending salaries as early as possible.

The teachers, in a statement, while expressing unhappiness over the long delay said that advance salaries for the month of December last year, was released to the SSA, Adhoc UP, Government LP and non-government teachers, which was not done for them.

“We contacted the Deputy Director on December 22 and 23 where we were told that efforts were being made to disburse the salary amounts to the respective SDSEOs. We also enquired about our salary after the New Year, but till now we have yet to receive it. We are facing lots of problems due to this,” the association said, and urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to take measures for its release at the earliest.
