NEHU Tura celebrates 27 years of existence

TURA, Feb 24: The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Tura campus, recently celebrated its 27th Foundation Day, during which feats of the university were remembered and celebrated.
The Foundation Day ceremony was attended by NEHU Tura Campus In-Charge Prof. Sujata Gurudev; Joint Registrar, NEHU, Tura Campus, LS Kumar; Prof. G Singaiah of Department of Management, NEHU, Tura Campus; and Prof FK Marak of Department of Garo, NEHU, Tura Campus.
In her address, Gurudev congratulated the faculty members and students, and remembered the founding fathers of the NEHU Tura campus.
She also touched upon the challenges ahead and the role of the faculty members in helping the students scale great heights.
Associate Professor, Department of Management, Dr. Deepak Bhagat, on the other hand, outlined the humble beginnings, the rapid progress and future objectives of NEHU Tura campus.
“North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, was established in the year 1996 and since then, the growth and success of this institution have been tremendous and today it has achieved a milestone,” Bhagat said.
He also read out the congratulatory message of NEHU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla.
Others who spoke during the programme include Prof Nikme Ch. Momin of Department of Education, Joint Registrar, NEHU Tura, LS Kumar, among others.
