Shillong, March 4: Congress leader and Member Parliament (MP) Rahul Gandhi will address the British Parliament during his three days visit to London from March 4-6.
Gandhi is also scheduled to interact with the Indian diaspora and will address a press conference organised by the Indian Journalist Association. The Congress leader will hold business meetings and will give a talk at Chatham House. He is on a 10 day visit to England and is accompanied by Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda.
At least 2000 people of Indian diaspora have already registered for Gandhi’s talk.
He will address the MPs, Lords among others on March 6 at the Grand Committee Room of the Palace of Westminster.
Virendra Sharma, who has arranged the British Parliament event, told the media “The debate is not limited to a political future, but must embrace the cultural, social and business ties that bind both countries, as the people are the living bridge.”
