Man chops off woman’s body after killing her in Kashmir, arrested

Shillong, March 12: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a person for killing a 30-year-old woman and chopping off her body. The woman had gone missing since March 7.

The incident took place in Budgam district of Kashmir. Police had received a missing report from the family members of the girl. After investigation, police found the chopped pieces of the body of the woman at different places.

The police arrested the accused Shabir Ahmad (45) who is a carpenter. The accused has confessed to the crime. Ahmad, a resident of Ompora area in Budgam is married.

Victim’s relatives alleged that Ahmad had approached her family for marriage but the woman had turned down his proposal

Police informed that the woman had been missing from her home for the last four days. The accused revealed that he murdered the woman and cut her body into pieces and disposed of them at different places.
