SHILLONG, March 15: The Shillong Civil Hospital junction on Wednesday witnessed a momentary commotion in a road rage case, involving a BSF truck and a bike.
Amid the hullabaloo, the motorist accused the BSF personnel of driving recklessly and hitting his motorbike. He also said that his wife and his son, who were riding pillion, could have sustained injuries due to such recklessness.
The accusation precipitated a heated argument between the motorist and the BSF personnel during which the former, in a fit of rage, pushed the latter, only to further aggravate the situation.
As a deterrent, the BSF personnel took out a lever from the truck but did not attack the motorist.
The BSF personnel, in his defence, argued that if the bike was really hit by the truck, the scratches should have been there.
The intervention of traffic police personnel then ended the commotion.
