Appointment
Governor Phagu Chauhan on Thursday appointed former Agriculture Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh as the Adviser to the Government of Meghalaya on Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. According to a notification in this regard, Lyngdoh will enjoy the perks and facilities of A+ category with effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

Greetings
The Urdu Society of India (USI) has conveyed its greetings to the Muslim community in Meghalaya on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. “May this holy month brings us forgiveness, patience endurance and joy,” the USI stated.

Unclaimed body
The Additional Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital, has informed that one male patient, identified as Bappi Pyngrope (70), C/o Mercy Home, Lawmali, was admitted in the male medical ward-II, bed no. 02, on March 13. He, however, passed away on March 22. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue within three days, failing which the same will be sent for disposal.
