50 volunteers donate blood in EJH village

JOWAI, April 11: Around 50 volunteers came forward to donate their blood during a blood donation camp in East Jaintia Hills on Tuesday which was organised by Green Valley Industries (Max Cement), located at Nongsning village of the district in collaboration with State Blood Transfusion Council.
The blood donors were staff of the cement plant.
Speakers including Max Cement managing director Vineet Agarwal and company’s assistant vice president Pawan Kumar spoke highly of the initiative and lauded the donors.
Besides them, Dr E Dann from the medical team of Civil Hospital Blood Bank Jowai, and Waheh Shnong of Nongsning, Lambha Dhar, attended the camp.
