Vehicle runs over 10-yr-old in EGH

TURA, May 2: A ten-year-old boy from Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, was killed after a vehicle ran over him on Tuesday morning.
As per police reports, the incident took place at around 9 am when the boy, after apparently deboarding a vehicle on his way to school, was run over by another vehicle while crossing the road.
The vehicle involved in the incident was immediately intercepted and the driver of the vehicle arrested.
“Family members of the boy were just behind him when the accident took place. He was immediately rushed to the Williamnagar Civil Hospital though due to the extent of his injuries, he succumbed,” informed East Garo Hills Superintendent of Police Siddharth Ambedkar.
A case has also been registered in this regard.
