Appeal
The Meghalaya Manipuri Welfare Society (MMWS), following an emergent meeting on Friday, has appealed to all the Manipuri communities, residing or studying in Meghalaya, to maintain peace and harmony and not to resort to any “antagonistic action”, which may lead to unfortunate incidents. The appeal comes a day after a group fight was reported from Nongrim Hills amid the ongoing tensions in Manipur.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has informed all registered LPG customers that the officials of Indian Oil Corporation Limited is planning to carry out a special drive on information, education and mass publicity to increase the Aadhaar seeding under Direct Benefit of LPG for all registered LPG cards. In this regard, all registered customers have been asked to submit photocopies of their Aadhaar to their respective agencies so that Aadhaar is seeded in LPG Customer Account.
