The Kerala Story actor Adah Sharma slams critics calling movie “propaganda”

Shillong, May 7: Movie The Kerala Story has earned a lot of fame during a short duration of span after it was released recently due to the controversial topic of conversion of Hindu and Christian women to be used in terror activities.

Adah Sharma starrer movie has generated a great deal of debate among the audience. Sharma recently responded to people who called The Kerala Story a “propaganda” film on her Twitter account. She referred to her film as “real” and advised everyone to look up “ISIS” and “Brides” on Google to learn the reality.

She wrote on Twitter “And for the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims…my humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides…maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real”.

Adah Sharma also wrote in a separate Tweet that the movie was getting overwhelming response. “Standing ovation in theatres , the honourable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory ,critics and audience applauding my performance , HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening ! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true #Greatful,” she added.

Adah Sharma plays the lead in The Kerala Story, which was released on May 5. It centres on the experiences of Hindu women from Kerala who converted to Islam and were then transported to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The Vipul Shah-produced movie took in Rs 7.5 crore on its first day in theatres.
