Over 700 candidates appear NEET in GH

TURA, May 7: A total of 749 candidates on Sunday appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2023 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at three different centres in Garo Hills.
The centres for the region were the Don Bosco College, Tura, New Horizon School and Captain William’s School.
It may be mentioned that West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani had played an instrumental role in helping all the three centres accomplish the task of conducting the examination seamlessly.
Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura, Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, who was also the City Coordinator, expressed his delight at the turnout of the candidates, which has nearly doubled from last year’s total of 380.
He also added that it is encouraging to see more students from Garo Hills taking the NEET, and hoped the coming year would see even more candidates writing the competitive exams.
