Freaky Friday sequel moving ahead, Lilo, Curtis expected to return
After two decades, actresses Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are in talks to reunite for a sequel to the hit body-swap comedy Freaky Friday. The sequel is in the works at Disney, with Lohan and Curtis expected to reprise their roles as mother-daughter duo Anna and Tess Coleman. Elyse Hollander, whose work has been featured on the Black List, is penning the script, reports ‘Variety’. Based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name, the story was adapted for the screen twice before the 2003 film – in 1976 starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster, and in 1995 with Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman. Rumours started circulating about a potential sequel in February, when Curtis posted a photo of her and Lohan on Instagram with the caption, “It’s Friday. I’m just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!” (IANS)

Bollywood actress and former beauty queen Sushmita Sen has shared a picture with her former boyfriend Rohman Shawl and tagged it as a “nice picture”. Sushmita took to her Instagram stories, where she shared an image from an event she attended with Rohman and daughter Alisha. The two, in the image are seen engrossed in a conversation as they got clicked. The actress captioned it: “Nice picture Rohman Shawl.” Rohman took to his Instagram and re-shared the picture. He wrote: “Right back at you Sushmita Sen.” It was in 2021, when Sushmita and Rohman, whom she met through Instagram, called it quits. (IANS)
K-pop band Seventeen takes No. 2 spot on Billboard with album FML
K-pop sensation Seventeen has claimed the second position on Billboard 200 with their 10th Mini Album FML. The entry marks Billboard’s top-selling album of the week and fourth largest sales week of 2023. The act also set new records with FML for the highest-selling K-pop album in its first day and week worldwide, with 3.99M+ copies and 4.55M+ copies sold respectively. FML is Seventeen’s fifth consecutive album to chart within the Billboard 200. FML hit No.1 on 3 of Oricon’s weekly charts including album rankings, digital album rankings, and total album rankings. The 13-piece act also charted No.1 on Billboard Japan’s Artist 100, Hot Albums, Download Albums and Top Album Sales, while sweeping No.1 across real-time charts on streaming platforms in Korea. Singer Sia secretly gets married to boyfriend
Singer Sia got married in a hush-hush ceremony to boyfriend Dan Bernard by candle-light in Portofino, Italy.Only four guests were there to watch as the couple said their vows under a gazebo decorated with flowers, reports sun.com. Sia had kept their romance under wraps, apart from sharing one picture of him on Instagram last October. Photos show her saying “I do” after walking down the aisle at Villa Olivetta, a luxury residence owned by designers Dolce and Gabbana. It was the same house where Kourtney Kardashian and rocker Travis Barker exchanged their vows last May. Sia was previously married to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang for two years. (IANS)
