Jowai girl to represent India at
Miss Aura International, feted
JOWAI, May 14: Twenty-two-year-old Rupda Lato from Jowai, who will represent the country at the Miss Aura International to be held in Antalya, Turkey, later this year, was felicitated by Haven’s Cove Nature and Environment Protection Society on Saturday. The beauty pageant will be held from September 17 to October 1. The felicitation programme was attended by librarian of District Library Jowai Wanphrang Gassah, noted author Dr Evarist Myrsing, and others.
NEHU releases first issue
of magazine AGRI Vision
TURA, May 14: The first issue of ‘AGRI Vision’ magazine of Biotech KISAN Hub and Bio-Resources Development Hub, was released by North-Eastern Hill University Vice Chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla on Saturday. NEHU Tura Campus in-charge Prof Sujata Gurudev, Project Coordinator, Biotech KISAN Hub & Bio-resources Development Hub, Arindam Barman, and others were also present. AGRI Vision will aid in disseminating information at the grassroots level and to all such agencies, institutes, organisations and stakeholders in the industry, to keep them informed with the latest development in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. The magazine will also serve as a platform to researchers, scientists, students and progressive farmers and also to all members of scientific community to share their innovative ideas and to spread awareness by publishing articles, addressing the current and future needs.
