7 workers of a power project killed in accident in Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir

Shillong, May 24: At least seven workers of a hydro project were killed in a road accident in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning.

The car in which they were travelling for work went down a steep hill, killing at least seven people and injuring many more.

The van was transporting 10 employees of the Dangduru Power Project when the accident happened close to the Dangduru Dam site, according to the reports.

At the scene, rescue efforts were underway.

Kishtwar Police confirmed the accident, stating that “a cruiser vehicle fell down the valley, and the injured were shifted to a hospital.”
