Robbers loot Rs 80,000 with dummy guns

NONGPOH, May 23: In a peculiar yet serious incident, a group of unidentified individuals dressed in camouflaged clothes reportedly robbed Rs 80,000 from a stone crusher in Umduba village in Ri-Bhoi in the wee hours of Monday using dummy arms.
On receiving information, the Officer-in-Charge of Khanapara PS along with the patrolling team rushed to the spot. Upon investigation, it was found that a group of 7-8 men carrying dummy arms made of wood were looted the money from the counter of the stone crusher and ran away.
No one was injured in the incident.
A case in this regard has been registered and the police are yet to nab the culprits.
