Nongpoh locals bat for prospective implementation of Roster System

NONGPOH, June 1: Amid the ongoing hullabaloo over the implementation of Roster System and review of the Reservation Policy, residents of Nongpoh have opined that the Roster System should be implemented prospectively.
The locals were part of a meeting, which was convened by Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem at the Community Hall of Sajer, Nongpoh, on Thursday.
The meeting was organised with a purpose to engage the people of the constituency and gather their perspectives on the burning issue of the Reservation Policy and Roster System.
The meeting witnessed an impressive turnout with hundreds of individuals attending the same.
Meanwhile, addressing the media persons following the meeting, the MLA flagged his concern over the state of affairs, emphasising the need for comprehensive and proper discussion on the issue of Reservation Policy.
Admitting that the matter had been previously deliberated, he nevertheless emphasised the importance of soliciting additional suggestions.
