Union Agri minister to attend event in state

SHILLONG, June 17: Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will attend the ‘NE Farmers Producers Organization Conclave’, which will be organised by the Central Agricultural University, Imphal, at College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam.
According to a statement here, during the programme, which will be held from June 24 to June 26, farmer producer organisations from across the Northeast will participate and interact with investors in the agricultural sectors.
“During the programme, FPO/ FBO meet, investors/entrepreneurs meet, buyer-seller meet, exhibition and interaction, and presentation from reputed experts and students will be the major focus on investment in agriculture, and allied will be discussed,” the statement said, adding that more than 200 participants, including ministers and officials, are likely to attend the programme.
