Shillong, July 2: The highly-anticipated film ‘Animal,’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, has garnered significant attention, particularly since its pre-teaser release.

Fans have eagerly awaited updates on the film since its announcement. However, they will have to wait a little longer as the release date of ‘Animal’ has been postponed. The movie was initially set to clash with ‘Oh My God 2’ starring Akshay Kumar and ‘Gadar 2’ starring Sunny Deol on August 11 in theaters.

‘Animal’ is expected to be a violent tale, showcasing Ranbir Kapoor in a new avatar. Filming for the action-thriller commenced in April this year in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The film’s team has decided to postpone its release date, with the reason cited as ongoing post-production work. A new release date is yet to be announced.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the update on Twitter, confirming the delay. He wrote, “#Xclusiv Animal not arriving on Independence Day weekend. #Animal – starring #RanbirKapoor and directed by #SandeepReddyVanga – won’t release on 11 Aug 2023. Yes, the film has been postponed. A new release date will be announced in the coming days. #BhushanKumar.”

Directed by Sandeep Vanga, known for ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019), ‘Animal’ is a crime thriller. The film is produced by T-Series (Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar), Cine1 Studios (Murad Khetani), and Bhadrakali Pictures (Pranay Reddy Vanga). Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady in the film.
