Awareness prog on substance abuse in NGH

TURA, July 5: A one-day awareness programme on ‘Effects of Drug Abuse and Alcoholism’ was organised on Wednesday jointly by the Multipurpose Development Manda A’kawe Mother’s Union and the A’chik Youth Welfare Organisation, Dainadubi with assistance from the North Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner.
Participants were sensitised on the harmful effects of alcohol and substance abuse. The main resource persons were the medical officer of Dainadubi PHC, and officials of Dainadubi outpost etc.
