SGH cops arrest 2 criminal gang members

By Our Reporter Baghmara, July 7: South Garo Hills police on Thursday arrested three members of a criminal gang who were allegedly involved in thrashing and looting a businessman from Assam, about three weeks ago. The police had been investigating the case and on Friday a special operations team of DEF SGH, based on source inputs, intercepted the duo at the Sibbari tri-junction. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession. The arrested criminals have been identified as Chengsang M Marak of Dadenggre, West Garo Hills and Sengchang N Sangma of Silkigre, South Garo Hills. Police recovered two local made explosives and one Chinese made pistol from their possession. Investigation into the matter is on.
