Shillong, July 24: A married woman from Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi district has taken a bold step and traveled to Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to meet a man she befriended and fell in love with on Facebook.

As per India Today, Anju informed her husband, Arvind, that she was going to Jaipur for a few days, but later, Arvind discovered through media reports that she had crossed the border into Pakistan.

Anju kept in touch with her husband via WhatsApp and called him from Lahore on Sunday, assuring him that she would return in two to three days.

Arvind and Anju are a married couple with two children. Anju had converted to Christianity to marry Arvind. They lived with Anju’s brother in a rented flat in Bhiwadi.

Anju had acquired a passport in 2020 with the intention of applying for a job abroad. Both Arvind and Anju are employed; Arvind works in Bhiwadi, while Anju is a biodata entry operator at a private firm.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Arvind remains hopeful that his wife will return to him. He was aware of her rumored lover in Pakistan but still believes she will come back.
