200 pine, cherry blossom saplings planted in Laitlum

SHILLONG, July 29: Launched on World Environment Day in Bangalore last year as part of the Climate Change Combat Campaign, ‘Project Re-Forestation: Planting a Million Trees’ planted 200 saplings of pine and cherry blossom in Laitlum Canyons on Saturday.
The plantation drive was part of the project to achieve the target of planting 5,000 saplings in Laitlum, Laitkyrhong and other places.
More than 50 volunteers including 35 students from Seven Set School participated in the plantation drive on Saturday.
