Govt to merge MHIS with central scheme

SHILLONG, July 31: Health Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh on Monday said the state government will merge the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana with the Megha Health Insurance Scheme to ensure higher insurance coverage for citizens.
Aadhaar linkage with MHIS will be a necessary criterion to avail the benefits, Lyngdoh said.
She also said that government employees in the state may soon get the benefit of cashless transactions for medical treatment.
