Lok Adalat
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority will oragnise ‘Pension Lok Adalat’ on the premises of the High Court of Meghalaya in Shillong from 10 am on Saturday. The adalat will hear matters on settlement of pending pension on the spot.

Body found
An unknown man was found lying at Polo parking lot on November 25, 2022, and was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for treatment. However, he passed away on December 2, 2022, during the course of treatment. He was around 5 feet tall and swarthy-complexioned with white patches on his skin. He also had a tattoo with the word ‘sword’ inscribed on his left hand.

Programme
The State Rural Employment Society (SRES), Community and Rural Development department, in collaboration with the office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills will organise a programme on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign at Nongthymmai Lumthangding VEC, Khatar Shnong Laitkroh C&RD Block, East Khasi Hills, on Wednesday. C&RD Minister AT Mondal will attend the programme along with Sohra MLA Gavin Miguel Mylliem.

New group
The A’chik Progressive Approach (APA), a local body aimed at serving the people, was recently formed in a meeting. The organisation elected Francis Ch Marak as president, Riksrang Ch Sangma as vice president, Dimchrang Dwarka M Sangma as general secretary besides other members as well as over 50 executive members.
