Shillong, August 10: Addressing the Lok Sabha regarding the no-confidence motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the motion’s impact is advantageous for the BJP-led Centre.

He emphasized that the floor test pertains not to the NDA, but to the Opposition, which initiated the motion. Modi acknowledged various members’ viewpoints and expressed gratitude to the people of India for their consistent trust in the NDA government.

As per IANS, in a jest aimed at the opposition, the Prime Minister remarked on the benevolence of a higher power in fulfilling people’s desires, considering the motion as a providential suggestion from God. Reflecting on the past, Modi recalled a similar motion in 2018 and reiterated that it is the Opposition’s trial, not the government’s.

Highlighting the outcome of previous elections, Modi pointed out that the no-confidence motion seems to bring good fortune, with the NDA and BJP gaining more votes. Concluding optimistically, he anticipated a remarkable triumph for the NDA and BJP in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, setting the stage for new records in majority support.
