Xiaomi’s Redmi 12 5G dominates Amazon sales for 5G smartphones

Shillong, August 11: Global tech giant Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 12 5G has swiftly become the top-selling 5G smartphone on Amazon in 2023, since its recent global debut in India.

As per IANS, the Redmi 12 5G, after hitting the shelves, remarkably sold out within just 24 hours on Amazon India. Its popularity extended across more than 9,500 pin codes nationwide.

Ranjit Babu, Director of Wireless and Home Entertainment at Amazon India, congratulated Xiaomi India for the successful launch of the Redmi 12 5G on Amazon.in. He emphasized the smartphone’s achievement as the best-selling 5G device in the Rs 10,000-15,000 price range on Amazon.in. He reiterated Amazon’s commitment to supporting Xiaomi’s efforts to make smartphones accessible across India.

The Redmi 12 5G holds the distinction of being India’s inaugural smartphone to house the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G processor, featuring an advanced 4nm architecture that efficiently unlocks high-speed 5G connectivity.

Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer at Xiaomi India, celebrated the overwhelming response to the Redmi 12 5G, noting its record-breaking impact on the smartphone market and its potential to drive the 5G revolution across India.

The Redmi 12 5G was offered at attractive prices starting from Rs 10,999 for 4GB+128GB, Rs 12,499 for 6GB+128GB, and Rs 14,499 for 8GB+256GB during its August 4 sale, all of which were quickly snapped up within 24 hours.
