State cop bags Union Home Minister’s Medal

SHILLONG, Aug 13: One police sub-inspector from Meghalaya has been selected for the “Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for 2023.
Salmay R Marak, Sub-Inspector from Meghalaya will be among the 140 police personnel to receive the coveted award that was announced on Saturday.
The medal was constituted in 2018, with the objective to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime and recognise such excellence in investigation. It is announced on August 12 every year.
