Body found
A body of a male, 52 years of age, was found at Maibon in Elaka Sutnga near Umpleng AD Camp, East Jaintia Hills, on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Superintendent of Police of East Jaintia Hills. Accordingly, inquest and other legal formalities were observed. After completion of post-mortem examination, the body was kept at the morgue room of Khliehriat Civil Hospital for identification and claim. The deceased was 5 feet 6 inches tall, swarthy-complexioned and built thin, according to the statement.

MoU
St. Dominic’s College, Shillong signed an MoU with Government Degree College, Sidhra, Jammu, under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ initiative on the occasion of 77th Independence Day. The documents were signed virtually between the two partner institutions. The MOU aims to facilitate student and faculty exchange programme, exchange of research activities, consultation and support in IT infrastructure, implementation of NEP 2020 and FYUP, cultural exchanges between the two state colleges.

Dak Adalat
A divisional level ‘Dak Adalat’ will be held in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong, at 11.30 am on August 25. The Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to Postal services for its redressal. The last date for receipt of complaints is August 24. Complaints, if any received after this period, will be redressed through the usual channel, a statement issued here said.
