Clarification
The state government has clarified that the name of Shillong International Centre for Performing Arts and Culture (SICPAC) should be read as “LARITI Performing Centre” instead of “LARITI International Centre for Performing Arts & Culture”.

Unclaimed bodies
One Arjun Thapa, 32-40 years of age, was found lying near Jhalupara basketball ground on August 17. During investigation, the police found an Aadhaar card next to his body. Inquest and other legal formalities were observed and after post-mortem examination, the body was kept at the morgue room of NEIGRIHMS hospital for identification and claim. The deceased was wearing a multicoloured boxer and a grey round-neck t-shirt, police said.
A patient named Gautam Upadhya (38) was admitted to Civil Hospital Shillong on August 16 and passed away on August 18. The concerned relatives have been requested to collect the body within a period of three days, failing which the body will be sent for disposal.
