4 Bangladeshi nationals apprehended in Dalu

Tura, Sep 19: Personnel belonging to the Dalu Police Station in West Garo Hills on Monday apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals who crossed over the border and were moving around in Dalugao village.

When questioned, the four persons claimed that they were proceeding towards Malda in West Bengal.

“All of them have in their possession Adhar cards but do not have other valid IDs. They stated that they were working in Chennai,” police informed.

Police recovered from their possession, Indian currency amounting to Rs.5000, three mobile handsets and one pan card all of which were seized.

The apprehended persons have been identified as Mohamed Mamun Rashid (25), Md. Wasikul (20), Md. Mir Kasim (20) all belonging to Chapainawabganj district and Siyam Sheik (21) of Rajsai district.

According to police, legal action is being taken against all the four apprehended persons under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act.
