Death anniv
The 19th death anniversary of former legislator Ardhendu Chaudhuri will be commemorated at a solemn ceremony on the Rilbong Dharma Sabha premises at 11 am on Friday. The occasion coincides with the completion of five years of Aahaar, an initiative run by Ardhendhu Chaudhuri Charitable Trust, wherein one wholesome meal is provided to the destitutes and the uncared for. Local MLA Sanbor Shulai and Swami Hitakamananda, Secretary, RKM Shillong, will grace the occasion.

 

Medical camp
Synchronising with its 127-year-long glorious journey, the Assam Club, Laban, will hold a free medical camp on the club premises between 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday. It is being organised as a part of Assam Club’s efforts to make basic healthcare accessible for all. A large number of medical professionals from Shillong and Guwahati have agreed to extend their services during the health camp, which is open for all. Various routine medical tests will be conducted and free medicines will be distributed among the needy beneficiaries.
