Book of 105 Bengali poems shows gratitude to Shillong city

SHILLONG, Sep 21: A book titled Khublei Shillong — a collection of 105 Bengali poems was released by Falguni Chakraborty, one of the patrons of Rabindranath Tagore Club, during the prize distribution ceremony of the 13th Inter Shillong Cultural Event 2023 at Asom Kristi Kendra Auditorium, Dhankheti, recently.
This is her fourth book after Megnolia – a collection of Bengali poems, which was the first, followed by Albeli – a collection of Ghajals, written in Hindi and Urdu, and Meg Ural – a collection of Bengali poems.
She is a recipient of the Sulabh Sahithi Academy Award in Gujarat, besides other awards such as the ‘Lady of Hope’ in South Africa (Capetown) conferred by All India Poetess Conference 2012, ‘Sanghamitra’ received in Srilanka Colombo, Chhotogram History Award received in Bangladesh, Anyodhara Award in Dhaka Bangladesh and the most recent one — Media Plus Award in Shillong.
