Medical camp
The BJP State Mahila Morcha organized a free medical camp in Maweitnai village, Mylliem, on Saturday, in association with District Health and Medical Officer, East Khasi Hills. More than 200 people benefitted from the medical camp where free medicines were distributed, and snacks were also provided. The four villages expressed their gratitude to the Mahila Morcha. The programme was attended by Rangbah Shnong, Maweitnai village, Drain Kharmon besides the office-bearers of the Mahila Morcha.
Freshers’ meet
Kolkata A.Chik Christian Fellowship organised Fresher’s Meet at the conference hall of Meghalaya House, Kolkata, on Sunday, to welcome students and employees from Meghalaya who arrived in Kolkata this year. The programme saw good participation. Apart from A’chik students and employees, students from other communities such as Khasis, Nagas, Mizos, Sikkimese, Tripuris and Arunachalees also participated in the freshers’ met. Bilsan R Momin, Pastor and Chaplain, Kolkata Achik Christian Fellowship, chaired the programme anad gave welcome speech. Zenithsky J Sangma, Joint Resident Commissioner, Kolkata Meghalaya House, motivated the attendees with his speech.
