Shillong, Sep 29: The two members of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization (HITO) were released on bail by a local court on Friday.
HITO president, Donbok Dkhar said with the release of the two members on Friday, all their members arrested earlier have now secured bail.
Police had arrested as many as 10 members of the organisation on September 4 for pelting stones and assaulting a magistrate and police personnel during a protest march towards the Secretariat.
The protest march was launched after the HITO president was summoned at Sadar police station in connection with a case related to the wearing of black uniforms by HITO members, similar to the ones used by the special operation team (SOT).
