Miscreant held in cricketer’s assault case

SHILLONG, Oct 6: Police have arrested one person in connection with the assault of a Meghalaya Ranji cricketer on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (City), Vivek Syiem said the miscreant was arrested on Thursday and he will be produced before the court. Efforts are on to nab the others involved in the assault case, the official said.
Cricketer Lakhan Singh was allegedly assaulted by a group of miscreants near Anjalee Cinema Hall while he was on his way to Jhalupara after which he filed an FIR at Cantonment Beat House.
