Mawpat, Mylliem Lum, PFR win

Shillong, Oct 17: The Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division matches at the First Ground, Polo, on Tuesday saw Mawpat SC, Mylliem Lum SC, and PFR Academy emerging victorious in their respective clashes.
In the initial Group C encounter, Mawpat’s Batip Bamon displayed his prowess by scoring twice (27th and 47th minutes), securing a 2-1 victory over Sanmer SC, whose Banshan Dhar contributed a goal in the 34th minute.
Mylliem Lum SC demonstrated their dominance by overpowering Lumparing SC with a commanding 4-1 scoreline. Eliastar Nongsiej was the star of the show, netting an impressive hat-trick in the 25th, 39th, and 64th minutes, building on his previous treble against Umpling SC last week. Lesterwell Khriem added another goal in the 10th minute, while Gillbert Nongneng pulled one back for Lumparing in the 41st minute.
In Group B, PFR Academy secured a solid 2-0 victory against Mawryngkneng SC. Adelbert Khongshun found the back of the net in the 10th minute, and Thymmaibor Mukhim added a second goal in the 71st minute.
Fans can anticipate more thrilling football action in tomorrow’s fixtures at the First Ground: Nongumlong SC vs Lumdiengjri SC, Group D, 11 AM, Lawmali Pyllun SC vs Rynjah SC, Group D, 1 PM, Lapalang SC vs Gorkha Association, Group A, 3 PM.
