Madankynsaw bags title in OVBT-2023

Jowai, Nov 22: The Open Volleyball Tournament-2023, organized by the District Sports Officer’s office in West Jaintia Hills in collaboration with the West Jaintia District Sports Association, came to a thrilling conclusion on Wednesday at the Mission Compound playground in Jowai.
The tournament, which commenced on November 20, featured eight teams, including Mission Compound Sports and Youth Affairs, Khimusniang, Yakrehlang SC Nangbah, Madankynsaw Mowkyndeng Knorsyiem, Kiang Nangbah Government College, Spikers, Chullai Brothers Chutwakhu, and Lion Mission Compound Dorbar Shnong.
The final match witnessed a fierce competition between Yakrehlang SC Nangbah and Madankynsaw Mowkyndeng Knorsyiem, with the latter emerging victorious by securing a scoreline of 25/15 and 25/17.The event was graced by EMH Padsah, the working president of WJDSA, who attended as the chief guest. Khroobok Passah, DSO West Jaintia Hills, Patrick Lamare, Vice President WJDSA, L Laloo, General Secretary WJDSA, and P Khyriem Waheh Shnong Mission Compound were among the dignitaries present at the event.The organizers announced that the Open Volleyball Tournament will become an annual fixture, inviting different teams and clubs to participate.
