Shillong, Nov 24: Meghalaya celebrates a commendable achievement in the realm of sports as Suzie Basan clinches the bronze medal at the Joe Weiders Olympia Amateur India 2023.
The 43-year-old mother of two displayed exceptional prowess in the event, held recently in Mumbai, which saw the participation of women bodybuilders from various countries.
This prestigious competition witnessed triumph for Russian bodybuilders, who claimed the top spot.
Meanwhile, a bodybuilder from New Delhi secured the silver medal, and the bronze went to Meghalaya’s very own Suzie Basan.
Notably, Suzie Basan, the proud recipient of the bronze at Joe Weiders Olympia Amateur India 2023, is not only a seasoned athlete but also serves as a gym trainer at Gold Gym in Shillong.
Her remarkable feat adds another feather to Meghalaya’s sporting cap, highlighting the diverse talent and dedication present in the region
