Who cares about the DON’Ts?

Opposite the lush greens of Golf Links, lie piles of stubborn plastic, unwavering in the midst of an ever-travelling junction connecting multiple roads. A strong “DO NOT LITTER” sign hangs over the scatter, but it weakens every minute considering how it isn’t doing its job very well.
Even though it’s painted in red, blared in capital letters, and projected for all to see, people walk past it with neglect. As they do so, they drop their Kwai plastics and the children let their ‘Uncle Chips’ packets fly.
What can the ‘DO NOT LITTER’ sign do but shake its head with embarrassment at its disregarded plea, and look down at its feet, standing on the perpetual collection of trash.

THE TEST OF TIME! An electric pole stands the test of time as its corroded foundation, exposed from the earth, continues to help it stand erect. This electric pole is located near Passport Office, Lachaumiere. Crooked and funny shaped poles are a common
sight in the city. But these legions of resilient
electric poles do give people a thought:
“What if it comes crashing down?” (ST)
