State BJP Mahila Morcha adds Christmas joy at orphanage

SHILLONG, Dec 22: Children of God’s Dream Children’s Home were filled with joy and smiles at a pre-Christmas celebration at the orphanage at Pynthorbah on Friday.
The event was organised by the State BJP Mahila Morcha led by its president Sukhi Pariat in the presence of Cabinet Minister A L Hek, party chief spokesperson Mariahom Kharkrang, state youth secretary Meeth Tariang, Pastor Crosslin Marbaniang, and other prominent citizens.
The celebration was organised for the children of the orphanage to spread the message of love, and to create sheer delight amongst the little ones who could not mask their glee. The exchange of gifts added to the merriment of the children.
Adding to the merriment, the All Meghalaya Dancers Association performed during the festivities. Kenneth Mawlong and Garry Kynshikhar enthralled the audience as they grooved to peppy beats and made everyone shake a leg.
Alongside this, the melodious voice of Pristila Masih added to the enchanting environment.
The visiting members addressed the children with a few words of encouragement, motivation, and advice for the future.
“As women and mothers we understand the needs of children and this event is just an attempt to brighten up the smiles of the little ones”, Sukhi Pariat said.
“Christmas is the season of giving and we were here to give every child the gift of everlasting love. May every child here grow up to be a successful human being,” Hek said.
Meanwhile, BJYM, the youth wing of the party visited the TB hospital in Shillong. The young brigade interacted with patients and their families, distributing happiness among one and all.
Along with the message of Christmas, the team also spread awareness about the TB-free India campaign and Nikshay Poshan Yojana scheme (nutritional support to TB patients).
Meanwhile, the BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha spent the occasion with BPL kids at an Anganwadi Centre at Shillong cantonment. During the programme educational gifts were distributed to the children ensuring absolute ecstasy.
