Shillong, Jan 5: The State government on Friday made an appeal to the proscribed HNLC not to opt out of the tripartite peace talks while maintaining that officially nothing has been communicated to the State government by the outfit.

Cabinet Minister and MDA II spokesperson, Paul Lyngdoh said that the government would huddle for an emergency meeting as soon as soon as Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong return to town. He also said that the demand of the HNLC of amnesty should be accepted.
