Shillong, Jan 10: Kitbok Cancer Care Foundation and True Works Enterprise is going to organise a fundraising concert ‘Scaling Heights Park 2024’ at Marbisu, Mawngap on January 27. The funds to be raised from the concert will be dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families. The fundraiser event will feature well-known artists like Jessie Lyngdoh, Gracel Ropmay, Ram Suchiang, Khmih Creative Society, DBRYN, and others.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Kitbok Cancer Care Foundation spokesperson, Banylla Dkhar revealed that the primary objective of the concert is to provide substantial support to individuals grappling with cancer and their families through the proceeds generated during the show.
While stressing community responsibility in supporting cancer patients she said that the significance of community aid is beyond government assistance. She also highlighted the critical need for counseling services for the families of cancer patients, acknowledging the mental challenges they endure and stressing the importance of providing comprehensive support. According to Banylla Dkhar, this is not just a musical extravaganza since it is an effort to extend a helping hand to those affected by cancer.
