First alumni meet of NEHU Tura’s Garo dept

TURA, Jan 24: The Department of Garo, NEHU Tura Campus held its First Alumni Meet on January 23 here at the university’s campus in Tura.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Prof Milton S Sangma, Retd. Pro-Vice-Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus and ICFAI, University, Tura, expressed his happiness to know that the alumni of the department are serving in different universities, colleges, schools, offices and contributing for the growth and development of the society.
He suggested that the alumni association can work as an agency for the growth and peaceful environment of the NEHU Tura Campus in particular and the University in general.
Book titled Longinus Sublimeni Gimin by Caroline R Marak, and an anthology titled Sechokchim by the alumni of the Garo department were also released by the chief guest.
Guest of honour Prof Caroline R Marak, Retd. Head, Department of Garo, NEHU, Tura Campus, urged the alumni to strive towards excellence in their respective careers and pursuits.
