Group opposes stone quarry in South Garo Hills

TURA, March 17: The Niksamso Garo Community Organization (NGCO) from Baghmara in South Garo Hills has opposed the proposed stone quarry at Aruak Nokatgre in the vicinity of the picturesque ‘Re’nang Dare’ waterfalls.
The proposed stone quarry belongs to GSU leader from Mindikgre and social activist, Greneth M Sangma.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the organization informed that it would be submitting a complaint on the issue to the DC, DFO, MLA Rakkam A Sangma and GHADC CEM, Albinush Marak soon.
