Ethan Nongdhar bags bronze at national Wushu championship

SHILLONG, April 1: A team comprising of six-athletes of the Meghalaya Wushu Association (MWA), led by Coach Niawki Lakai NS NIS, participated in the 23rd Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship and the Junior Khelo India Women’s League held at Jammu University from March 26 to March 31, 2024.
The team comprised of one girl and five boys, brought home one bronze medal, secured by Ethan Nongdhar from Lumparing, Shillong. Ethan is a student of Pynshai Mawri, State Wushu Coach from Malai Phudmawri.
Meanwhile, Pyniohnam Marboh, Daomanmi Mynsong, and Steven K Thabah lost in the quarter-final fights.
Additionally, Siselia Dkhar from East Jaintia Hills District also faced defeat in the Khelo India Women’s League quarter-final.
