SHILLONG, May 28: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Tuesday met Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma and demanded that admission should be made available in all the colleges based on the class XII marks of the students due to the CUET mismanagement.
Member of VPP Media Cell, Rusievan Shangpliang said that the students and their parents are faced with a lot of difficulties and confusion after the CUET goof-up and the state government has not done anything to ease their tension.
Shangpliang said that they have asked the Education minister to instruct all the colleges to give admission to the students on the basis of their class XII marks, so as to give a fair chance to those students who could not sit for the CUET and also those who appeared in the test but were subjected to a lot of discomfort.
According to him, the Education minister has assured to look into the matter.
